The VETnetwork national conference 2010, to be held 15-17 September in Adelaide, will feature workshops, forums and discussion panels led by vocational education and training (VET) specialists from around Australia.

The conference, which is supported by the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework), will kick off with a research forum, including presentations from the Australian Vocational Education and Training Research Association (AVETRA) and the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).

More than 28 concurrent sessions will address topical VET issues including:

  • working in a virtual world

  • improving VET outcomes

  • developing the VET practitioner

  • engaging and supporting school based apprentices and trainees.

Practitioners will have the opportunity to express their views and hear from expert panellists on current issues such as leadership in schools and the changing nature of VET.

Networking opportunities will be provided, allowing attendees to share information and experiences in the VET sector.
