Commencing in March, and ongoing throughout 2010

In 2010, the ACT Framework team will host a range of FREE e-learning professional development (e-pd) opportunities to further assist the ACT vocational education and training (VET) community in embedding e-learning to provide greater flexibility for learners.

E-pd is delivered under four categories (the links below lead to a summary of each category, full lists of session descriptions and times, and details of how to register):

FREE ARED and e-portfolios workshops in SA!

The SA Framework team is running two FREE workshops on ARED and e-portfolios in April:

Speed is king! Creating rapid e-learning objects using ARED
ARED is an e-learning development tool designed to allow teachers and trainers, with little more than basic computer skills, to easily build their own online resources. This workshop will get you started with using ARED to create a learning resource.

Resuscitate your RPL with e-portfolios
Breathe some fresh air into your RPL (recognition of prior learning) assessment processes using e-portfolios and mobile devices. This workshop will demonstrate how to facilitate a client-focused RPL process using readily available technologies to capture evidence of competence on-the-job.

Training Forum 2010

Training Forum 2010 is a two day professional development opportunity for VET practitioners and those involved in the planning, provision, delivery and assessment of training.

Showcasing examples of good practice and addressing the major goals of Training WA: Planning for the future 2009–2018, Training Forum 2010 will feature a number of workshops hosted by the Framework.

VET Teaching Conference 2010

Globalisation, equity, sustainability, industry engagement and quality practices in teaching and learning are now at the forefront of state/territory and national policy and planning. The VET Teaching Conference 2010 will provide a forum for practitioners to participate in cutting-edge debate around these key issues and contribute to developing responsive training that meets the vocational and business needs of individuals, employers and community. E-learning experts from the Framework will be attending to assist with your e-learning questions or help you get started with e-learning.
