New Toolbox brings Events Alive!

Event management is an increasingly popular area of study and a new Flexible Learning Toolbox (Toolbox) is taking this exciting area online.

The Events Alive! Toolbox is a high quality, cost effective, interactive e-learning and assessment resource that can be installed on a server or used on a stand-alone computer.

The Toolbox uses scenario-based learning to provide critical education and training in a sector endeavouring to remain sustainable and competitive, particularly in regional areas.

The Toolbox:

• supports four units of competency from the Tourism, Hospitality and Event Training Package (three of these are new units):
  
  
  • Evaluate and address event regulatory requirements
  • Select event venues and sites
  • Manage volunteers
  • Identify hazards and assess and control safety risks.
    
     
• meets recognised training needs in customer service and best practice, information technology, compliance, risk and human resource management
  
   
• provides RPL (recognition of prior learning) support and resources.
