E-learning champions uncovered

E-learning champions have been highlighted as a key strategy for organisations looking to successfully adopt and embed e-learning.
A new what matters has been released by the national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework), focusing on the research findings from The impact of e-learning champions on embedding e-learning report.
what matters is a compact pamphlet produced by the Framework to provide vocational education and training (VET) practitioners with a quick and efficient way to understand topical trends and issues affecting e-learning.
The pamphlet outlines:
- the key characteristics of a successful e-learning champion
- the common activities and guidelines adopted by e-learning champions to successfully facilitate the uptake of e-learning within organisations
- a practical model for the development of an e-learning champion.
The Framework's Benchmarking and Research Business Manager, Annie Fergusson, said there was clear evidence that e-learning champions are a significant component of an e-learning strategy.
"The champions provide a clear focus for sustaining e-learning within an organisation, as they act as advocates, build staff capability and model approaches that provide engaging and positive experiences for learners."
