Key speakers announced for VET E-portfolios Showcase VET showcase, opens new window to e-portfolios page

Teachers and trainers, managers and ICT professionals within the vocational education and training (VET) sector will have the opportunity to interact with some of the most highly
regarded e-portfolio researchers and specialists, both locally and from overseas.

Seven key speakers have been announced for the inaugural VET E-portfolios Showcase 09, hosted by the national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework):

Keynote speaker, Ruth Wallace, will present her research into the use of e-portfolios to support learner identity and re-engagement. Ruth will discuss the implications of e-portfolios for educational delivery in regional Australia, using her specialist knowledge in the flexible and innovative delivery of VET programs in remote areas across Northern Australia.

The one-day program will include breakout sessions and facilitated group discussions to encourage collaboration and sharing of ideas and experiences.

E-portfolio Exhibitor Show ‘n’ Tell

The E-portfolio Exhibitor Show ‘n’ Tell and cocktail function will be held the evening before the conference (Thursday 15 October) at 5.30pm – 8.00pm at Oaks on Collins, 480 Collins Street.
